Every inherited variant in a ProsperK9 report
Each report screens 336 inherited health conditions, plus 25 coat-colour and physical traits: 596 DNA variants in all, read from your dog’s whole genome. Many conditions have several variants, often one per breed. Updated November 2026.
On top of these, every report runs a genome-wide scan of 2,400+ disease-linked genes for predicted gene-disrupting changes. Those are computational predictions, not tested conditions: the report lists them separately, and they are not counted above.
“Breeds” lists where each variant was first described; most variants can turn up in any breed or mix, so every dog is screened for all of them. Variants on our imputation panel are called with high confidence at standard sequencing depth. The rest are read directly from the sequence, so a finding you plan to base a breeding decision on should be confirmed with a single-gene test.
